Standard features include :

The SMP clutch/brake combines a matched clutch and brake on a hollow shaft. The open design allows for maximum cooling. The light alloy frame has an antirotation tab, and the armature can be mounted directly to sheaves, sprockets, or gears.

Although the design of this unit is space saving and low cost, the SMP  is easy to install, and is suitable for high-cycle-rate applications.
