TRANTEX Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of electromagnetic clutches and brakes for industrial applications, was established in 1973 in Taiwan. TRANTEX offers a wide range of electromagnetic clutches, brakes, spring-set brakes, and clutch/brake modules. In addition to the standard product line, TRANTEX has been designing and producing many special units (O.E.M.) for specific motion control applications for our customers in the past. TRANTEX has a wide market to our products in the world include of U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, South-East Asia, etc.

At TRANTEX,  the emphasis is upon quality. Many features that are standard on TRANTEX units are optional or not available on competitive units. The standard features include nitrided armatures for long life, fully encapsulated coils for durability, and fast-release brake armatures for accurate registration.

A wide variety of standard flange-mounted and  shaft-mounted clutches and brakes is available. Torques range from 0.6 kgm to 160 kgm. TRANTEX Quality assures durability and accurancy. The standard features include :

-  Clutch/Brake Modules

TRANTEX clutch/brake modules are ideally suited for high-cycle -rate applications. Each unit is completely preassembled and preadjusted. Service life is enhanced by open frame construction which facilitates air cooling, and by the standard high-quality features shared by all TRANTEX clutches and brakes such as fully encapsulated coils, nitrided armatures, fast release brake armatures, etc.

TRANTEX clutch/brake modules are available in a wide variety of designs, and are compatible with most motors, reducers and power transmission components.

-  Fail-Safe Brakes

Designed for dry use, the SAB spring-applied brake has been designed for durability and long service life. There are two friction surfaces, and the brake can be adjusted easily to compensate for wear. The hand release and mounting flange are optional. The fully encapsulated coil is available in any voltage from 6 VDC to 240 VDC. This well-proven design is capable of absorbing large amounts of energy, and is suitable for both dynamic and static applications. Available in 8 sizes. Static torques range from 0.4 kgm to 24 kgm.
